Blue Devils Defeat Wake Forest in ACC Volleyball

DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke volleyball team concluded its home schedule with a 3-1 win over Wake Forest on Tuesday night. The Blue Devils improve to 9-16 overall and 4-10 in the ACC, while the Demon Deacons fall to 18-10 overall and 6-8 in the league.
In her final home match, senior outside hitter Megan Irvine (Wasilla, Ak.) had one her best performances of the season, registering 12 kills and nine digs. Junior outside hitter Sarah Peifer (Tampa, Fla.) had match-high 20 kills and 31 digs.
Wake Forest was led by Katie Horne with a team-high 16 kills, while teammate Julie Cowley added 20 digs and 55 assists.
