Volleyball Downs Georgia Southern

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest defeated Georgia Southern in three games, 3-0, at Reynolds Gym on Saturday night. It was only the Deacons' second win in its past seven matches.
The Deacons move to 19-10 overall this season, while Georgia Southern falls to 16-15 on the year.
Senior Christy Kelley (Atlanta, Ga.) and freshman Trina Maso de Moya (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) each finished with double figures in kills. Maso de Moya had a game-high 13 kills to go along with 12 digs. Kelley registered 12 kills on the night.
Wake Forest forced the Eagles into 15 receiving errors, while hitting over .300 for the first time in eight matches. Sophomore Julie Cowley (Rancho Sante Fe, Calif.) led the Deacons with a .714 hitting percentage, 5-of-7 with no errors.
Kelley along with fellow senior Kelley McCaffrey (Brookfield, Conn.) will play their final game at Reynolds Gym tomorrow, Sunday, Nov. 8. Wake Forest will host College of Charleston beginning at 12 noon.
