Volleyball Sweeps N.C. State

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest (16-5, 5-3 ACC) disposed of NC State (10-10, 0-8 ACC) in three games, 3-0, at Reynolds Gymnasium on Saturday night in an ACC contest. It was the Deacons fourth consecutive victory and third straight conference win.
The Deacons were able to hold off a pesky Wolfpack attack by scores of 15-12, 15-13 and 15-9.
Freshman Trina Maso de Moya recorded the lone double-double of the evening for Wake Forest with a team-high in both kills, 15, and digs, 18. Christy Kelly and Sara Kryder also recorded double digit figures in digs for the Deacons.
NC State was led by Laura Kimbrell's 13 kills and 20 digs.
The Deacons continue ACC play at home on Tuesday afternoon against Georgia Tech. The match is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start in Reynolds Gym.
