WINSTON-SALEM - The Wake Forest womens tennis team will face Brigham Young on Thursday (May 21) in the opening round of the 1998 NCAA Womens Tennis Championship at Notre Dame.
The Demon Deacons, who finished second in the ACC and are 17-8 overall this season, are taking part in their fifth straight NCAA Championship tourney. Brigham Young is 22-2.
Both Wake and BYU were among 10 schools who were seeded automatically into the 16-team championship field. Six other teams qualified by winning regional tournaments this past weekend.
The only other ACC school involved in the event is conference champion Duke, which meets Arkansas on Thursday.
