Women's Hoops Falls in the ACC Tourney

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's basketball fell to Georgia Tech in first round action of the 1998 Women's ACC Tournament.

The No. 9 seed Demon Deacons (4-23) started slow and trailed 43-26 at halftime. Olivia Darby keep the game close in the second half for Wake. She ended the game with a total of 26 points and eight rebounds. Heidi Coleman also contributed on the offensive end with 12 points.

No. 8 seed Georgia Tech (11-16) was lead by the combination of Kenya Williams and Danielle Donehew. The Yellow Jackets face the top seeded Duke Blue Devils on Friday.
