WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Another women's basketball player signed a national letter of intent to play at Wake Forest, becoming the fourth member of the Demon Deacons' Class of 2002.
Elizabeth Rogers, a 5-10 guard/forward from Ravenscroft High School in Raleigh, N.C., signed with the Demon Deacons yesterday and will enroll at Wake Forest as a freshman in the fall of 1998. The North Carolina Independent School Player of the Year as a junior and a senior, Rogers scored over 1,800 points in her high school career and helped her team to a stunning 107-5 record in her four years there. She was a three-time first-team all-state and all-conference pick, leading Ravenscroft to two conference championships and one state title (in 1995-96). As a senior in 1997-98, Rogers averaged 18.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game, shooting 60 percent from the floor and 51 percent from three-point range.
