Deacons Open Season at Home

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest University field hockey team opens the 1999 season Saturday by hosting the Radford Lady Highlanders at 1 p.m. at Kentner Stadium.

The Demon Deacons are coming off a season where they went 11-9 overall and 1-3 in ACC play. Wake returns 11 players from last year's squad, five of which are seniors, including All-ACC members Amy Marchell (Midfielder/Back) and Meaghan Nitka (Goalkeeper).

The Deacons open ACC play at Maryland on September 25 at 1 p.m. There is no admission charge for a Wake Forest field hockey match.
