OXFORD, MS -- Sophomore Trina Maso de Moya earned Tournament MVP honors as the Wke Forest women's volleyball team captured the Ole Miss Invitational title this weekend, improving its overall record to 8-2.
The Demon Deacons split their first two matches on Friday, defeating Arkansas State 3-1 (15-9, 15-12, 13-15, 15-8) but falling to host Ole Miss 3-2 (10-15, 15-8, 6-15, 15-10, 17-19). On Saturday, Wake defeated Arkansas State again to advance to the title match vs. Ole Miss, and defeated the Rebels 3-1 (13-15, 15-11, 15-5, 15-12) to capture the tourney title.
Wake Forest is next in action on Friday, Sept. 17, when they host Radford at 7:30 pm.
