Wake Forest Head Coach Jennifer Averill
"I think that when we were able to settle down and recognize our play, that we controlled and dominated the game. I give credit to Harvard, who came back under some adverse situations. They took advantage of our team when we weren't so organized."
"We didn't underestimate Harvard at all. We have a tremendous amount of respect for them. They exposed our wings that we left open and their attacks were mostly breakaways. I don't think we had many missed opportunities. Defensively, we weren't getting it done - we let bad things happen. Offensively, I think we were working well as a team"
Forward Jemima Cameron
"Our mistakes killed us. Harvard was able to capitalize on their opportunities and they've really got some creative players."
Forward Kelly Doton
"We are never comfortable with a lead until the end of the game. Harvard kept fighting back and I was never comfortable with the one-goal lead. I think I just had open shots and they happened to go in."
Harvard Head Coach Sue Caples
"We were very honored to represent Harvard University and the Ivy League in the NCAA Tournament. I'm very proud of our team. We came up against a very tough Wake Forest team. It's easy to see why they were the fourth seed in this tournament."
"I'm proud of the way our team answered after being scored on. I thought that it showed the kind of character that this team has. We made defensive errors and I think that Wake Forest's experience and our inexperience showed in the second period. We need to learn to be tougher mentally and this is all part of it."
"We have a young team and this is the beginning of the process. It was great to show that we were able to answer after the first few goals."
Back Katie Turck
"We have everything to be proud of and nothing to be ashamed of. This is has nowhere to go but up."
