Two Deacons Earn All-America Honors

Winston-Salem, NC - Two members of the fourth-ranked Wake Forest field hockey team have been named to the 2000 AstroTurf/NFHCA All-American team as announced today.

Senior forward Jenny Everett collected first-team honors for the second consecutive season. Everett has broken seven Wake Forest field hockey records and currently leads the team with 20 goals and 20 assists this season. She's also been named to the South Region All-American team for the third consecutive season and to the All-ACC squad for the second straight year. Everett concludes her career with 76 goals and 34 assists for a school record 186 points.

Junior forward Jemima Cameron was coined a third-team All-American for the first time in her career after also earning a spot on the first team All-South Region. She lists second on the team with 33 points this season on 13 goals and seven assists, and has been named All-ACC the past two seasons.

The Demon Deacon field hockey team finished its season with an 18-4 overall record and a 3-1 conference mark. The Deacs wrapped up one of their most successful seasons as a national semifinalist, falling 6-0 to national champion Old Dominion in the 2000 NCAA Championships.
