WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Two members of the third-ranked Wake Forest field hockey team were named to the All-Tournament team as announced by the ACC today.

Senior forward Jenny Everett and sophomore midfielder Maria Whitehead were each honored for their performance in the ACC Field Hockey Tournament this weekend. Everett, who holds seven Wake Forest scoring records, took only one shot during tournament play, but was rewarded for her leadership on and off the field for the Deacs. Whitehead has been a catalyst behind the Wake Forest offense and defense this season, ranking second on the team in assists with 17.

Wake Forest dropped a 3-1 decision to the fourth-ranked Maryland Terrapins in the second round of the tournament. The Deacs dropped to 16-3 on the season and will await selection to the NCAA Field Hockey Tournament on Tuesday, November 7.
