NORFOLK, Va. -- The 51st-ranked Wake Forest men's tennis team defeated the 50th-ranked Old Dominion Monarchs 4-1 on Sunday.

The doubles were played first in the match, with Wake sweeping the three doubles matches to gain a 1-0 advantage. Wake Forest changed up its singles lineup for the match, putting Johan Hansen at No.1 singles. Hansen defeated Rodrigo Laender 6-1, 6-1. Michael Berger played at No. 2, losing to Alex Kancado 2-6, 2-6. Raul Munoz defeated Patrick Boza at the third position 6-2, 7-6 (7-1). Michael Murray won at No. 4, defeating Vladimir Manojlovic 6-2, 6-1. The last two singles matches were not played.

With the win, Wake Forest improves to 5-1 on the season. Wake will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 26, when the Deacons travel to Blacksburg, Va. to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies. The match is set for a 3 p.m. start.
