Wake Field Hockey Assistant Named Head Coach At Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Wake Forest assistant field hockey coach Amy Robertson has been named the head field hockey coach at Indiana University according to an announcement released by the Indiana Media Relations Department on Thursday.

The Indiana program will be in its first season as a varsity sport in the fall of 2000. Robertson has been an assistant coach at Wake for the past three seasons. In 1999, Robertson helped lead the Demon Deacon program to its most successful season ever. The team finished with a record of 18-4 and were ranked as high as third nationally. The Deacons made their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 1999.

Robertson is a 1987 graduate of the University of Massachusetts where she played and later coached in the Final Four. She was named Northeast Region All-American as a senior at Umass.
