Conway, Siemon All-Region; Clayton Freshman All-American

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest catcher Dan Conway and pitcher Scott Siemon were both named second team All-Region on Friday while pitcher Ben Clayton earned honorable mention honors on the Freshman All-America team from Collegiate Baseball.

Conway, a native of Delmar, N.Y., led the team with 14 home runs while batting .318 as a junior.

Siemon, a junior from West Palm Beach, Fla., finished the season with a team-best 11 wins against only two losses and a 2.68 earned run average.

Clayton, a southpaw from San Leandro, Calif., took the hill 19 times for the Deacons including 12 starts. He posted a 7-2 record with 66 strikeouts in 63.2 innings of work. Last week, Clayton was named to Baseball America's third team freshman All-America team.
