Field Hockey Ranked #1 Nationally

The first NCAA Division I Field Hockey rankings of the season were released today and Wake Forest took the top spot. This marks the first time in school history that the Demon Deacons have been ranked number one. The team's previous highest ranking was third. The NCAA poll is released three times each season and is determined by the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Committee. The rankings in the NCAA poll determine bids and seeds for the NCAA Field Hockey Championships in November.
