The number-one Wake Forest field hockey team will travel to Durham on Wednesday, October 24 to take on the 14th-ranked Duke Blue Devils. The game was originally scheduled for September 14, but was postponed in the wake of the tragedy of September 11. The Deacons (10-3, 2-1 ACC) will look to extend their seven-game win streak. The teams clashed on October 10 at Kentner Stadium in a game that did not count towards ACC standings and Wake Forest emerged with a 4-3 victory. However, this week's game will count towards the ACC records of both teams. It is the final ACC regular season match-up of the year for the Deacs, as well as the final road game. Wake Forest will round out the regular season with two home games, taking on Davidson on Thursday, October 25 and the University of the Pacific on Sunday, October 28.
