ACC Field Hockey Championship Bracket Finalized

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The pairings for the 2001 ACC Field Hockey Championship in Chapel Hill, N.C. were announced this week and, with a conference record of 3-1, Wake Forest has earned the second seed in the tournament. They will take on the third-seeded host North Carolina Tar Heels on Friday, November 2 at 4 p.m.

The tournament begins on Thursday at 4 p.m. when the fifth-seeded Duke Blue Devils take on the fourth-seeded Virginia Cavaliers. The winner of that game will take on the top-seeded Maryland Terrapins on Friday at 7 p.m. The winners of Friday's games will square off on Sunday at 1 p.m. to play for the ACC Championship. Entering the tournament, all five ACC teams are ranked in the top 15 nationally.
