Volleyball Hosts Maryland On Tuesday

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest volleyball has a home stretch now after traveling this past weekend. To start, Wake takes on Maryland on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The Deacon are looking to keep the momentum from the upset over North Carolina into the Maryland match, while the Terrapins are coming off a hard loss to Virginia on the road.
Wake went 2-0 this weekend, enjoying victories over NC State and the ACC's top-ranked Tar Heels. The Deacons increased rotation from their bench to upset North Carolina Saturday night. Wake is now 14-8 overall and 7-5 in the ACC.
Maryland lost to Virginia Saturday night 2-3 in Charlottesville. Maryland's own Carey Brennan led all players with 16 kills and 16 digs. With the loss Maryland falls back to .500 at 10-10 overall and 6-6 in the ACC.
Last time out the Deacs defeated the Terrapins 3-1 at College Park. However Maryland still leads the all-time series record versus Wake 13-7.
Upcoming weekend matches include hosting Florida State on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. and Virginia on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 5 p.m.
