WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The 2001 ACC Championship Volleyball brackets were announced this afternoon and the Demon Deacons are seeded fifth among the nine schools. Wake Forest will play No. 4 Florida State on Friday, Nov. 16 at 11:00 a.m. in Tully Gym in Tallahassee, Fla. The winner of that match will play the winner from No. 1 Duke and the winner of the No. 8 Virginia and No. 9 NC State match in the semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 1:30 p.m.
The Demon Deacons look to improve from their 2000 ACC appearance after losing in the first round to Virginia. Wake has split meetings with Florida State, losing at Tallahassee 0-3 and winning at home 3-2.
