Hicks Turns 100: Senior guard Broderick Hicks played in his 100th career game. Hicks is part of a veteran five-man senior class that has played in a combined 490 games at Wake Forest. Darius Songaila played in his 99th career game and started for the 89th time. Antwan Scott played in his 98th game, Craig Dawson in his 97th game and Ervin Murray in his 96th game.
Songaila Sunday: Senior Darius Songaila enjoyed a big day, tying a career-high (he also had 27 last season vs. Virginia on Jan. 2)... he scored in double figures for the fourth straight game dating back to last season... he has scored in double figures 75 times in his career... he has scored 20 or more points in a game 11 times... he became the 20th player in Wake Forest history to score 1,300 career points (he entered today's game with 1,278 career points)... he moved into 22nd place on Wake's all-time career rebounds chart, passing Kenny Green... Songaila entered today's game with 552 career rebounds... Songaila sank his first three-point field goal of the season... he now has seven career three-pointers and is 7-of-20 all-time from behind the arc... Songaila is 21-of-28 from the field this season (75.0 percent).
The Lithuanian Connection: The other half of Wake's Lithuanian connection - freshman Vytas Danelius - enjoyed his finest day as a Deacon... Danelius registered career highs in several categories.... Before today, Danelius scored a combined seven points in wins over UNCW and Arkansas.
Dead-Eye Dawson: Senior Craig Dawson has made at least two three-point field goals in all three games this season... he has made at least three 3-point field goals in a game 22 times in his career... he entered today's game with 162 career three-pointers and is on track to become just the fourth Deacon to make 200 career treys... Dawson is also inching closer to becoming the 40th player in WFU history to score 1,000 career points (he entered today's game with 951).
Doubles For J-Ho: Junior Josh Howard scored in double figures for the 40th time in his career and he registered the seventh double-double of his career... he finished just one rebound short of tying a career-high.
