Volleyball Travels To Alabama For The Turkey Classic

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest volleyball will travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to participate in the Turkey Classic on Nov. 23-24. The Demon Deacons will face Alabama on Friday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. CT and then play MTSU on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. CT.
The Deacons come into the match 18-11 overall and 10-6 in the ACC after a disappointing loss in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament. Wake lost to Florida State 23-30, 26-30, 27-30 despite leadership from its seniors. Trina Maso de Moya posted 16 kills, 14 digs, five block assists and a .406 hitting percentage, while Margaret Davidson posted 11 kills and no errors for a .550 hitting percentage.
This will be the first meeting between Wake and Alabama and MTSU. Alabama comes into the match after suffering a 3-0 loss to seventh-ranked Florida in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament. The Crimson Tide are 21-8 overall and 10-5 in the SEC.
Middle Tennessee State just fell to West New Orleans in the first round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, 1-3. The Lady Raiders are 9-22 overall and 4-10 in the Sun Belt Conference.
