Wake Forest vs. St. Francis Dec. 19, 2001 - Postgame Quotes

Wake Forest Head Coach Skip Prosser On the game: "Our guys played with a lot of energy and emotion. It is tough to have a game sandwiched between your first conference game and St. John's. We didn't guard the three well, they made some tough threes. We were able to rest some guys tonight. For us, Josh Howard shot well - except for on the free throw line."

On the post play: "Josh (Howard), Darius (Songaila), Antwan (Scott) and Vytas (Danelius) are all shooting the ball with high percentages."

On A.W. Hamilton being the first off the bench: "It was a chance to see what he can do with the starters."

On next opponent, St. John's: "St. John's is an aggressive team. They have tough city kids. That will be the supreme test of basketball. We need to try to find guys who are willing to be ball strong and be aggressive with the ball."

Wake Forest Junior Josh Howard On tonight's game: "I think we did well. We need to work on execution, rebounding and passing."

On preparation for the game: "We had to get well prepared. They were a tough team."

On the upcoming St. John's game: "We need to show what we should have done last year and win these type of games."

Wake Forest junior guard Steve Lepore On his performance: "I had great passing from my teammates that allowed me to make some good shots. We must work on our passing and catching. We can score a lot more points if we take care of the ball."
