Wake Forest improves to 38-15 overall with tonight's win.
Dave Bush recorded his 14th save of the season, tying him for the most saves in NCAA Division I this season.
Corey Slavik's game-tying solo home run in the sixth inning was his 10th of the season, his second career home run in the ACC Tournament. His other home run came in the 1998 tournament in Durham against Florida State.
Jason Aquilante extended his personal hitting streak to ten games, a season-high.
Sullivan continues to hit North Carolina pitching well. He went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI, raising his career average to .581 (18-for-31) with two home runs and 10 RBI in eight games.
Sullivan's home run in the seventh was his second home run in as many games. He homered against High Point on Sunday.
Cory Sullivan reached base with a leadoff single in the first inning, extending his streak to 53 games of reaching safely.
Dave Bush made his 35th appearance of the season. His next appearance will tie the school record his set last season. Bush is Wake Forest's all-time leader in that category (106).
Sullivan's 3.2 innings on the mound marked his shortest outing as a starter this season. His previous low was 4.1 innings at Georgia Tech. He did not factor in the decision in that game.
Senior Josh Bartlett made his first career ACC Tournament appearance. He pitched three innings of relief, allowing three runs, two earned, on four hits.
Wake Forest defeated North Carolina for the eighth consecutive time.
The Deacons advanced out of the first round for the fifth consecutive season and the sixth time over the last seven seasons.
