Wake Forest falls to 41-17 overall and loses its first NCAA Tournament game for the first time in nine NCAA Tournament appearances.
Ryan Braun took the loss, his first since April 25 at Charlotte. He allowed five earned run, tying a career-worst. He had allowed just two earned runs in his last 16.2 innings.
The ninth inning home run by Benjamin was just the second homer allowed by Bush this season.
Wake Forest never led in the game.
The Demon Deacons are now 3-12 when trailing after seven innings.
Wake Forest is now 6-10 in games where they get out-hit.
Ryan Braun had made just one error in 12 games prior to today. He committed two in the game.
Jamie D'Antona belted his 14th home run of the season in the ninth inning.
The Deacons will face the loser of the Tennessee-Middle Tennessee State game at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday morning at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in Knoxville.
