? Wake Forest improved to 44-17 overall.
? Wake's 44 wins are the second-most single-season victories in school history. The 1999 team holds the school record after going 47-16.
? Left-hander Ben Clayton made his first appearance on the mound for the Deacons since April 18.
? Jamie D'Antona and Jamie Athas started for the 61st time this season (every game). They are the only Deacons to start in every game this season. Corey Slavik has also played in all 61 games and has started 60 times.

? Scott Siemon, recovering from a shoulder injury, replaced Clayton in the sixth inning for just his eighth appearance of the season. Entering today's game, Siemon had pitched just 21.1 innings this season, although the senior right-hander entered today with a career record of 25-5.
? Cory Sullivan was hit by a pitch in the seventh inning - the 15th time this season he has been hit by a pitch, breaking the school single-season record.
? Wake Forest sent 11 different batters to the plate today and all 11 got at least one base hit.
