Volleyball Faces Radford Tuesday On The Road

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest volleyball team travels to Radford, Va. on Tuesday to play the Highlanders at 6 p.m. The Demon Deacons are 6-3, 1-1 ACC and the Highlanders are 2-6, 1-0 Big South. Wake leads the all-time series versus Radford 7-2.
The Demon Deacons come into the match after a disappointing loss to the Yellow Jackets, 3-1 on Sunday. Senior outside hitter Trina Maso de Moya led Wake Forest, posting double figures with 13 kills and 18 digs. Senior middle blocker Margaret Davidson also recorded 13 kills and eight blocks (two solo). The Deacons were held to a .119 team hitting percentage while the Yellow Jackets posted a .235 percentage.
The Highlanders come into the match off of a 3-0 defeat of Birmingham-Southern Friday on the road. Senior middle blocker Katie Sherwood posted 13 kills and 15 digs and senior outside hitter Laura Marcuson contributed 14 kills. Sophomore setter Bliss Mulligan led the Highlander offense with 38 assists.
