* Today's game captains for Wake Forest are #68 David Walters and #93 Calvin Pace.

* Wake Forest got up 14-0 in the first quarter, marking its biggest lead on the Seminoles since a 9-0 score at the half of the 1959 contest. Since FSU joined the ACC, Wake has never had more than a 3-0 lead (1999).

* Running back Tarence Williams went over the 100-yard rushing mark midway through the second quarter, gaining 116 yards on his first 10 carries. It is his 11th career 100-yard rushing game, which ranks third all-time at WFU, behind James McDougald (15) and Michael Ramseur (13). It was his second straight 100-yard game.
