Wake Forest's win tonight gives the Deacons... ... a record of 18-8 overall, 8-4 in the ACC ... a record of 3-6 this season against nationally-ranked teams ... sole possession of third place in the ACC standings, one-half game ahead of NC State (8-5) ... a guarantee of finishing .500 or better in the ACC ... a guarantee of finishing fifth or better in the ACC standings for the 10th consecutive year ... an all-time record of 59-55 versus Virginia ... a split in the regular season series with Virginia for the fifth straight year ... an all-time record of 1,255-980 ... a 12-2 record at home this season ... an all-time record of 157-38 in Lawrence Joel Coliseum

For Starters Wake Forest used its fourth different starting lineup in the last four games... Wake has used five different starting lineups overall this season... freshman Vytas Danelius made his first career start... senior Antwan Scott did not start for the first time this season... Wake started two freshmen for the second straight game (Jamaal Levy started, along with Taron Downey, at Clemson)... Darius Songaila started for the 112th time, ranking third in WFU history behind Tim Duncan (127) and Frank Johnson (116).

Maybe Everyone Should Come Off The Bench Feb. 9 - Broderick Hicks comes off the bench for a career-high and team-high 24 points Feb. 13 - Craig Dawson doesn't start for the first time all season and scores a career-high 38 points Tonight - Antwan Scott doesn't start for the first time all season and nearly has his first double-double of the season

Howard Still Out Junior Josh Howard continues to nurse a high ankle sprain and did not play for the second time in three games... he attempted to play 18 minutes last Wednesday at Clemson and sat out the entire Cincinnati game... his status for Thursday's Duke game remains questionable.

Darius Songaila ... made a case for the All-ACC first team with his 12th double-double of the season (his sixth in the last nine games) and his 21st career double-double ... scored a career-high 30 points - his previous career-high of 29 came on Dec. 16 vs. Florida State ... now has an even 750 career rebounds ... scored 20-plus points for the third straight game and for the fifth time in his last six games ... scored in double figures for the 12th straight game, the 25th time this season and the 98th time in his career ... entered the game with 1,678 career points, making him the 12th player in Wake Forest history to eclipse 1,700 career points

Vytas Danelius ... scored in double figures for the first time since Jan. 30 at NC State and for the sixth time overall

Craig Dawson ... has made at least one three-point field goal in every game this season ... has made two or more three-point field goals in a game 19 times in 26 games this season ... has made three or more three-point field goals in a game 12 times this season, 32 times in his career ... moved up to 24th place on Wake's all-time career scoring list, passing Paul Long (Dawson entered tonight's game with 1,221 points) ... scored in double figures for the 14th time this season, the 59th time in his career ... has 16 three-point field goals over his last two games

Taron Downey ... had a career-high number of assists (previously five, two times)

Miscellaneous Roger Mason's 22 first-half points tied for the most points in any half by a Deacon opponent this season (tying Clemson's Edward Scott, who had 22 in the second half of last Wednesday's game... before the Feb. 9 game vs. Cincinnati, no Deac opponent had scored 30 points in a game this season - now it has happened four times over the last three games.
