Full Day of Deacon Athletics on Saturday April 6

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Wake Forest athletic department invites students, faculty, staff and the Piedmont Triad community to come out for a full day of Deacon athletics on Saturday April 6.
The day begins at Groves Stadium at 3:00 p.m. with the annual Spring Football Game. The intrasquad game is expected to last 90 minutes and there will be free admission. Second-year coach Jim Grobe returns 16 starters from last year's 6-5 team.
At 4:30 p.m., in the area between Groves Stadium and Ernie Shore Field, sports marketing will host the "Dugout Cookout" with food and drinks. Cost for the event is $10 for adults and $8 for youth. The cost includes the meal and a ticket to Saturday night's baseball game. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 758-5011.
At 6:00 p.m., the seventh-ranked Demon Deacon baseball team will host the 12th-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels at Ernie Shore Field. The teams sit atop the standings in the Atlantic Coast Conference. At 22-5 overall, the Deacons are off to their best start since 1961.
