Deacons Set To Begin Hoops Practice

With Wake Forest students on fall break, the Demon Deacon basketball team begins practice Saturday with little fanfare. The defending ACC regular season champions will hold its first practice -- closed to the general public -- on Saturday morning.

Demon Deacon fans can catch their first glimpse of the new Deacs next Friday night at 8 p.m. in Reynolds Gym. "Wake The Neighbors Night" will feature many of the festivities associated with Midnight Madness including contests, games, the spirit squad and an intra-squad scrimmage. Admission is free and doors open at 7 p.m.

Wake Forest's first exhibition game is scheduled for Nov. 3 in Lawrence Joel Coliseum against the EA Sports All-Stars.
