Women's Tennis Hosts Demon Deacon Invitational

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team will host its annual Demon Deacon Classic this weekend at Leighton Tennis Stadium. Play will open each day at 9 a.m.

The tournament consists of four flights of singles and two flights of doubles. In addition to the host Demon Deacons, seven other schools will compete in the event, including Colorado, Georgia State, Tennessee Tech, UNC Greensboro, Virginia Tech, Virginia and Winthrop.

Preliminary rounds of singles and doubles will be held on Friday and Saturday, while the championship matches will take place on Sunday. Matches will take place at either Leighton Tennis Stadium or the upper eight courts which is adjacent to Leighton. If inclement weather were to interfere, all action would move to the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center.
