Wake Forest head coach Skip Prosser
On the game:
"We played hard. I thought we played well. It seemed like we had 34 good minutes. We struggled in some stretches but we are fortunate and happy to get a win over Brown. Now we just have to get ready for our next challenge back in the ACC and Clemson."

On Brown:
"They played tough and courageous. They had a tough situation, having played on Sunday and then traveling here. They continue to play with a lot of heart, despite the game getting out of hand early."

On Trent Strickland:
"I told Trent early on that he had to do three things to be on the floor, guard, run the floor and rebound. I think he is certainly doing that. He has improved his perimeter game to the point that he is a three-point threat. In our only ACC win, we definitely would not have won without him."

On Justin Gray:
"I thought he played as well in terms of a floor game as I can remember without looking at the tape. Justin needs to realize that his game is not defined by shooting percentage. There are a lot of other ways he can help us win games."

On Chris Ellis:
"Chris has not gotten any practice time and there is no way to make that up. He is not going to get better overnight but he can continue to help us. Overall I'm pleased where he is at."

On the zone defense:
"We're going to see a lot of zone from now on. I thought we were pretty aggressive and when we are aggressive and going to the basket, we can make enough good plays to beat a zone."

On the upcoming ACC schedule:
"We just talked about it in the locker room. I told the players that we are going to the 'mattresses'. It's time to say good-bye to the wives and sweethearts. I don't think anybody in the nation plays a schedule like us from here on -- 15 ACC games and then we throw in Texas and Cincinnati for good measure. That is a definite challenge."

Sophomore Justin Gray
On Chris Ellis:
"With Chris out there, we have another big body. We need him and Vytas (Danelius) to be ready for league play. Chris did a good job of going after loose balls and that's what we need him to do."

On tonight's game:
"I just tried to be more aggressive overall. Coach has told me I need to step up and score more, but I wanted to get other people into the game."

On his ankle:
"My ankle is feeling pretty good. I'm at about 95 percent and I'll continue to get treatment."

On playing at Joel Coliseum:
"It's just great to be home. With the students coming back, it's going to be a great atmosphere. We want the people in this city to come check us out."

Brown Head Coach Glen Miller
On Wake Forest: "They're a terrific basketball team with a lot of answers. They've got three great guards and from what I understand, the best post player in the ACC. We thought we prepared for Wake Forest's pressure in practice, but we didn't execute what we practiced."

On Brown's defense:
"We've played a zone before, so it is in our system. When you're stepping up like we did and playing the number four team in the country, we'd thought we'd change it up. But I won't go as far as to say that anything we did worked tonight."
