Wake Forest Volleyball Travels to Maryland and Virginia

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest volleyball team travels to Maryland and Virginia this weekend, looking to pick up a pair of ACC victories. The Deacs will face the Terrapins on Friday at 7 p.m. and the Cavaliers on Saturday at 5 p.m.
The Deacs are coming into the weekend after a tough 3-2 loss to non-conference opponent Winthrop, dropping their overall record to 8-10. In the ACC, Wake Forest is yet to pick up a victory and hopes to capture two this weekend.
The Terrapins, who are currently 4-4 in the ACC and 9-9 overall are coming off a split weekend, with a victory over Clemson and a loss to Georgia Tech. The University of Virginia comes into the match with a 13-7 overall record and a 3-5 conference mark.
The last time the Deacs met Terrapins, the Deacs fell, 3-1, in the second match of the conference season. Against the Cavs, the Deacs also fell by a 3-0 margin.
After this weekend, Wake Forest will return home to face NC State on Oct. 29 at 7 p.m.
