Women's Soccer Falls 1-0 To Florida State

Tallahassee, F.L. - The Wake Forest women's soccer team dropped a hard fought match to the 17th ranked Seminoles on Friday. With the 1-0 loss to Florida State, the Deacons fall to 7-4-1 overall, and 1-3 in conference play.
The game remained scoreless in the first period, until 15:23 when Julia Schnugg scored on a shot from the close left wing on an assist by Kelly Rowland. The goal was Schnugg's fourth on the season. Wake Forest failed to score the remainder of the 1st and 2nd period, eventually dropping a close game to the Seminoles.
Elizabeth Ramey led the way for the Deacons with four shots, while Sarah Kozey followed with three. Wake Forest recorded 14 total shots, while Florida State was held to 8, however still came out with the win. Joy McKenzie recorded five saves for Florida State.
The Wake Forest women's soccer team returns to action on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. against Miami.
