HONOLULU (AP) - Porsche Jones scored 18 points and Cotelia Bond-Young added 17, leading Wake Forest to a 65-57 victory over No. 19 Houston in the Paradise Classic on Friday night.

Erin Ferrell added 12 points for Wake Forest (8-0), and Liz Strunk finished with 11 rebounds.

Sancho Lyttle had 27 points and 13 rebounds to lead Houston (9-1). Daphne Andre added 13 points.

Houston rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit and tied the score at 36-all 13:04 remaining. Wake Forest countered with a 19-7 run over the next nine minutes for a 55-43 lead with about four minutes left.

Houston closed to within four points twice in the final 52 seconds, but Wake Forest (8-0) hit eight free throws to seal the victory.

Trailing 16-11 with 11:13 left in the first half, Wake Forest went on a 20-0 run over the next eight minutes. Jones made two 3-pointers in the run and added a layup. Lyttle's basket with 2:32 left ended Houston's scoring drought, and the Lady Cougars added two free throws in the final minute to cut their halftime deficit to 33-20.
