Tonia Brown Named ACC All-Tournament Second Team

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest senior guard Tonia Brown was named to the 2004 ACC All-Tournament second team after Monday night's ACC Tournament Championship.
Brown averaged 15.0 ppg, 8.0 rpg and 2.0 spg in the Demon Deacons two games. Brown posted season-highs of 23 points and 12 rebounds in the Deacs quarterfinal loss to Duke. Brown also buried a season-best four 3-point field goals.
Olivia Dardy was the last Wake Forest player to be named to an ACC All-Tournament squad. Dardy was awarded second team in 2001 after pouring in a career-high 30 points as the ninth-seeded Demon Deacons pushed the top-seed Blue Devils into overtime - the only time in ACC Tournament history that a ninth seed has taken a one seen into extra time. Dardy also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out five assists.
Wake Forest finished the 2003-04 season 12-17 overall and 4-12 in the ACC.
