Women's Soccer Ranked 29th in Soccerbuzz.com Poll

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's soccer team is ranked 29th on the Soccerbuzz.com poll for the week of Sept. 27. This marks the second week that the Demon Deacons have been in the national polls, despite dropping two games over the weekend to Virginia Tech and Duke.
The Deacons, who are currently 6-3-1 overall, opened the 2004 season with double overtime tie against Vanderbilt, before taking three victories in a row over UNC Greensboro, Mississippi and Virginia Commonwealth. Adding a loss in the mix against Colorado, Wake Forest picked up three more wins over Davidson, Denver and then-ranked #19 Princeton.
This past weekend, the Deacs entered ACC competition, where they fell to Virginia Tech, 3-2 and Duke, 2-0. This marks the first time in 2004 that Wake Forest has dropped two consecutive games.
Wake Forest will return to action this week against the University of Virginia, Friday, Oct. 1. Game time at Spry Stadium is set for 7 p.m
