Volleyball Welcomes Clemson and Georgia Tech

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Wake Forest volleyball team will kick off the second half of ACC play this weekend with matches against Clemson and Georgia Tech. Closing out the first half of the conference season on a three match winning streak, the Demon Deacons will look to extend it with the Tigers on Friday, Oct. 28 and the Yellow Jackets on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Wake Forest enters the weekend after a strong outing against Miami and Florida State. The Deacs first defeated the Semionles in three straight games. Against the Hurricanes, the teams battled into five, but the Deacs were able to pull it out, 3-2, to improve their overall record to 11-9 and 4-7 in the conference.
Clemson, who defeated the Deacs, 3-2, earlier in the season, enters the weekend with a 9-7 overall record an an even 4-4 mark in the conference. Georgia Tech, who is currently in fourth place in the conference and defeated the Deacs, 4-1 and own a 13-7 overall mark and a 6-2 record in the ACC.
The match against Clemson on Friday is set to begin at 7 p.m., while the match against Georgia Tech on Saturday will start at 6 p.m. Both competitions will be held at Reynolds Gymnasium.
