Wake Forest head coach Jim Grobe

On turnovers heading into end of 2nd quarter:
"That's the story of the night. You don't have a chance to stay close to these guys if you don't take care of the football. The thing that disappointed me the most is that our turnovers were unforced turnovers. When you fumble a snap and you fumble a handoff, it's just really disappointing. We were actually playing well enough from a scheme standpoint that we had a chance, but in the matter of two turnovers we were in a hole."

On senior class:
"The best thing about this senior class is that they are survivors. We took this class and worked this class really hard-this is the class that has payed the price to be on this football team and I am proud of these guys. They really worked hard. I wish we could have ended the season differently, but we couldn't have asked anything more from these guys."

On Kyle Wright:
"We expected to have problems. The nice thing for Kyle is that he is surrounded by a pretty good cast. We thought that this might have been the best offensive line that we have played against-in combination of being able to run and pass block, obviously their receivers are as good as anyone in the country and the kid doesn't make many mistakes."

Wake Forest running back Chris Barclay

On his performance today:
"I'm disappointed in my performance in taking care of the football, its something I take pride in. Tonight was kind of disastrous from that stand point. I felt that I contributed in the special teams area and still had at least 100 yards on a great rushing defense. I gave it all I got; I just wanted to leave it all on the field. I made mistakes, but I just wanted to leave it all out on the field and I have no regrets."

On the fumbles:
"It was an exchange fumble. My hands were too tight when I reached for the football. The other one, the guy from behind reached and grabbed my arm, and took my arm back. The ball hit my thigh and it bounced out. I had a pretty good year up to this point as far as taking care of the football."

On what he'll take from his Wake Forest career:
"Consistency. Never giving up because my teammates never gave up on me. I just wanted to play for those guys. Through all the adversity, just keep playing for the guy next to me. That is what I take, the camaraderie and the friends that I made here, it's second to none. I love those guys from the bottom of my heart. Irregardless of the score or situation I play for those guys and that's what I'll take away."

Wake Forest quarterback Cory Randolph

On his career:
"Five years. The camaraderie. You play for a lot of great guys here. We had a good time, a lot of ups and downs. Overall, it was successful college experience."

On Miami:
"They didn't really do anything. I had three turnovers and that kills you. None of them were forced. We had a jump ball interception, an interception trying to throw the ball away where I didn't put enough on it to get it out of bounds, and then we had fumbles. I had a missed snap. I don't think they did anything to force those turnovers, but offensively we just killed ourselves. When we didn't turn the ball over, we had pretty successful drives and moved the ball up and down the field. We just had to take care of the ball on offense."

On setting the foundation of Wake Forest football:
"Hopefully we laid a good foundation for the guys coming in. A foundation built on good character, a lot of hard work, and a chance to compete with the top talent in the country. For a lot of these guys that were overlooked by Miami, Florida State, whatever big name program it is a 'revenge factor.' I think there is a lot of potential in this team to be successful and that's what it's about, having a winning attitude."

Wake Forest wide receiver Chris Davis

On the game:
"They made a few great plays that sparked the momentum they needed to get back in the game. I just think the key factor was us losing focus of what we had in hand and what we were trying to accomplish in the game."

On the young Demon Deacons:
"These guys are the best athletes I've seen. You have guys like Alphonso Smith, Benjamin Mauk, Eric Berry, Aaron Curry, and have a lot of younger guys that have that drive and want to succeed and want to be better than everyone else. These guys have the same talent as some of the guys on the Miami team."

Wake Forest corner back Alphonso Smith

On the future of the program:
"We will definitely miss Ryan Plackemeier; we'll definitely miss Chris Barclay, and Cory Randolph, Chris Davis and a lot of seniors. I think we are so close to getting over the hump. I think we just have to take this game as a learning experience and learn from it and go to the off season."

On close losses in the season:
"When you look back over the season, you look back at four games you supposedly won. We need to learn how to win here. We have the talent, we have the great coaches, and we just need to learn to win. We were up 17-14; we got excited and gave up 17 points in a minute and 30 seconds. You have teams like Miami, Florida State, Virginia Tech, USC, Notre Dame; all those teams know how to win. USC will be losing at halftime and go out and score 32 points and win. We just need to learn how to win."

Miami quarterback Kyle Wright

On getting a lot of young offense into the game:
"It was great to get a lot of guys included in the game. We had 7 or 8 guys with catches. The offense did a great job."

On knowing about breaking the touchdown record:
"Someone on the sidelines told me I got the five, which I knew was the record, but didn't know I had reached it."

On how the team avoids a loss coming off of such a big victory last week:
"It's hard, it's different with each team. It comes down to how bad you want it."

On only being a sophomore QB for Miami:
"I'm still young and got a lot to improve. I know I have learned a lot over this year and got a lot of experience. It's great to know I have two more years."

Miami head coach Larry Coker

On the game:
"We're happy with the win. We felt like this would be a tough place to play. Jim Grobe and his staff have done a great job. They schemed us pretty well and made some good plays in the first half and made some adjustments in the second half. I think we held them down pretty good. Overall, it was a nice job of making adjustments. Again, guys really stepped up for us. A lot of positives came out of this, although a lot of things need to improve for us to be where we want to be. We are still in the hunt, so we need to keep on and press on."

On offensive production:
"I think a lot of areas have progressed. For one, I think the pass protection has gotten better and the other thing is we don't have a lot of new plays, but we are doing a better job of guys making plays. The receivers are getting proper depths, routes, and all of those things tie in."
