
Field Hockey Faces North Carolina in ACC Semifinals

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The top-seeded Wake Forest field hockey team, who closed out the regular season with a perfect 18-0 record and 5-0 mark in the conference, will face fourth seed North Carolina in the semifinals of the ACC Tournament Friday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m.
North Carolina advanced to the semifinals after defeating Boston College, 2-1, Thursday afternoon in the first round. As the top seed in the tournament, Wake Forest received a bye in the first round.
The meeting between the Demon Deacons and the Tar Heels will be the third of the 2005 season. In both meetings, Wake Forest has emerged with the win, including a double-overtime victory in Chapel Hill.
The winner of the game will advance to Sunday's finals at 1 p.m. The ACC finals will be televised regionally on Fox Sports South.
