Princeton, N.J. - On the strength of a perfect 5-0 record, the Wake Forest men's tennis team moved up 16 places to 28th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Wake Forest's rise was due to home victories over the weekend against 14th-ranked VCU and 31st-ranked Minnesota. Earlier this year, the Deacons defeated 58th-ranked Old Dominion and 63rd-ranked William & Mary.
Wake Forest is one of 10 ACC schools ranked in the top 75 nationally. Jeff Zinn's Deacons are joined by Duke (8th), Virginia (9th), North Carolina (24th), Clemson (36th), Florida State (43rd), Georgia Tech (47th), Miami (51st), NC State (57th) and Virginia Tech (62nd).
Wake Forest was ranked 44th in last week's poll.
The Deacons returns to action on Sunday at the Indoor Tennis Center against 67th-ranked Brown. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
