WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Former Wake Forest women's basketball player Amy Privette-Perko has been selected as a member of the 2005 ACC women's basketball legends class. The group of 11 former standout players -- one from each ACC school -- will be honored during the ACC Women's Basketball Tournament at the ACC Legend's Brunch, which will be held on Saturday, March 5, at the Greensboro Coliseum.
Privette-Perko played for the Demon Deacons from 1984-87 and was a three-time GTE Academic All-American. An All-ACC selection during her junior and senior season, she still ranks among the school's top-10 players all-time in points, rebounds, assists and steals. The recipient of the 1987 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, she was also named the Wake Forest Female Athlete of the Year for the 1986-87 academic year and was inducted into the Wake Forest Hall of Fame in 2000.
After the brunch, the Legends will be introduced to the ACC Women's Basketball Tournament crowd at halftime of the first semifinal game.
