WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - Junior Liz Strunk led the Wake Forest women's basketball team for the second straight game with 24 points, but the Demon Deacons fell to #19 NC State 64-61 on Thursday night in Joel Coliseum.
The Demon Deacons fall to 14-12 overall and 3-10 in the ACC, while the Wolfpack improved to 20-6 overall and 9-4 in the conference.
Trailing 61-60, State made four free throws in the final 1:19 while holding the Demon Deacons scoreless. Guard Ashley Key made three of the free throws, including the last with 24.9 seconds remaining.

The Wolfpack led 30-27 at halftime by scoring the last five points.
