Naughton Named to Parade All-American Fourth Team

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest women's basketball signee Deirdre Naughton was selected to the PARADE All-American fourth team in addition to being named the 2005 Sun-Times Women's Basketball Player of the Year.
Naughton, a a 5-foot-10 native of Wilmette, Ill., is a three-time All-Area pick and averaged 24 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3,3 assists and 3.9 steals per game for New Trier High School. Additionally, she is a McDonald's All-American finalist and a Nike All-American and was selected as the #38 recruit in the country.
Coaches, scouts and recruiters around the country select the candidates for the Parade All-America teams every year and then the final rosters are selected by a team of experts.
