Wake Forest Volleyball Hands Out Annual Awards

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Senior Kim Stern was honored as the Wake Forest volleyball team's most valuable player at the annual banquet, while five others were recognized for their dedication and hard work over the course of the season, as voted on by the members of the squad.
Freshman Michael Faulkner was recognized as the Rookie of the Year, while setter Erin Borhart earned the distinction of the best offensive player. Junior Valerie Rydberg was named the best defensive player, while senior Morgan Havig was presented with the Demon Deacon award. Natasha Schaefer rounded out the awards with the Dedication Award given by strength and conditioning coach Ethan Reeve, for her dedication and work ethic in the weight room.
The Demon Deacons finished the 2004 season with a 13-17 overall record and a 4-12 mark in the ACC.
