Wake Forest Volleyball Opens Season at Louisville Tournament

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Wake Forest volleyball season gets underway this weekend as the Demon Deacons travel to the Courtyard by Marriott Airport Classic, Sept. 2-3. The tournament, hosted by the University of Louisville, is the first of three that Wake Forest will play before entering ACC action.
The Deacs will open up the tournament against, No. 14 Louisville, Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Playing two games on Saturday, Wake Forest will face Tennessee State at 11 a.m. and Ohio at 5 p.m. While this tournament marks the first competition for Louisville and Wake Forest, both Ohio and Tennessee State have already played in one tournament.
Wake Forest enters the 2005 season after a 13-17 finish last year. Wake Forest welcomes back 2003 All-ACC selection and AVCA honorable mention All-American Christy Williams, in addition to one of the strongest incoming classes in the history of the program.
