Sept. 16, 2005
Wake Forest student-athletes representing almost every varsity sport will assist in Hurricane Katrina relief efforts by raising money at Saturday's WFU-East Carolina football game at Groves Stadium.
Student-athletes, wearing uniforms of their respective teams or the Athletes Care Team T-shirt, will collect money before the game and at halftime of the 6:30 p.m. game against the Pirates. All proceeds go to the American Red Cross. More than 75 Deacon student-athletes, including every redshirting freshman football player, have volunteered to help.
