Wake Forest, ranked eighth nationally and the defending NCAA East Regional champion, embarks on the 2005-06 season Monday through Wednesday in Sunriver (OR) at the NCAA Championships Preview.

Most of the nation's top teams will be competing in the 54-hole event at the par 72, 7,671-yard Crosswater Golf Course. The teams will play 18 holes each day, concluding on Wednesday. Crosswater will also be hosting the NCAA Championship May 31-June 3, 2006.

Wake Forest will be joined by 14 other five-man teams: Arizona State, Auburn, Augusta State, BYU, Duke, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, New Mexico, Oklahoma State, Portland, UNLV, USC and Washington.

The Deacons will send a veteran group, paced by seniors Kyle Reifers and Doug Manchester, junior Sean Moore and sophomores Chris McCartin and Webb Simpson. That group of five represented Wake Forest last spring in the NCAA Tournament.
