WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's basketball team returns to ACC action against Clemson on Sunday, Jan. 15 at 3 p.m.
The last time the Demon Deacons faced the Tigers, Liz Strunk set a school record, scoring 40 points of 15-of-19 shooting, leading Wake Forest to a 68-60 victory in Littlejohn Coliseum. In the meeting prior to that game, Strunk scored 30 points in the 86-71 Wake Forest victory. The last time Wake Forest swept Clemson in a season was in 1987-88.
The Demon Deacons are currently riding a two-game winning streak, including an ACC victory over NC State. If Wake Forest defeats Clemson, it will not only tie the season high winning streak, but it will mark the first time since the 2003-04 season that Wake has won back-to-back ACC regular season games.
