WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The No. 9 Wake Forest women's soccer team will travel to Miami on Sunday, Oct. 22 in hopes earn its fifth ACC victory of the season. A win for the Demon Deacons would mark the most conference victories in program history.
The Demon Deacons (12-4, 4-3 ACC) are coming off a hard-fought loss to No. 3 Florida State earlier this week. In the loss, senior Elizabeth Remy scored her eighth goal of the season, while sophomore Amanda Lebo put the other one away for Wake Forest. Over the course of her career, Remy has 28 goals, which ties her for third place in the Wake Forest career record books.
In Wake's last outing against Miami, the Deacs won, 2-0, in Winston-Salem. In the win, Remy and Kristen Kemp both scored in the victory. Miami enters the weekend with a 7-7-1 overall record and a 1-6-1 mark in the ACC. In their last outing, the Hurricanes fell to Florida State, 2-0.
